We operate in accordance with our Social Involvement Plan (SIP). The SIP was developed to provide a practical management tool for effective stakeholder engagement. The SIP assists our management to build and maintain relationships, trust and credibility with the local community.
The SIP includes specific objectives and techniques for on-going communication between ourselves and our stakeholders, and details our annual community support program which includes donations, sponsorship, and in-kind support for a range of community, educational and environmental initiatives.
As a considerable contributor to the community through our operations, we promote community sustainability where possible. This is through consideration of support to charities and other not for profit organisations in each area of operation. Community support focuses on:
- Enterprise & Job Creation
- Social & Community Development
- Culture & Art
As a significant landholder in the Upper Catchment of the Goulburn River and also the Talbragar Catchment and a major employer in the Mudgee region, we have an ongoing interest in the health and sustainability of the area. To this end, we actively seek to support local regeneration and other environmental enhancement projects.
How can we help?
If your local volunteer organisation is looking for support, we might be able to help. For further information, contact the Environment & Community Manager on (02) 6372 5368, or complete an online application by clicking here.
We also provide regular presentations and mine tours, and participate in interactive discussion sessions with teachers, pupils and university students.
